TMI Tuesday – What are your 7 favorite tactile things that turn you on?

October 23rd, 2007

I saw this today on the blog of the lovely Ellie Lumpesse and it looked like fun. Like Ellie, I’m not usually into memes, but this one is a little bit on the naughty side, which is right up my alley. And now, for TMI Tuesday:

1. What are your 7 favorite tactile things that turn you on? Sex (like oral, or penetrative) cannot be an answer. (Examples: silk, light tickling, etc).
- Oil – I love the feeling of oil being rubbed on my skin. My favorite is baby oil, since you get the added bonus of that sweet smell all over your skin.
- Heat – I like it hot. There is nothing more relaxing to me than heating up my sore muscles. I love a heated pillow on my aching shoulders, a hot bath or shower, hot breath between my legs, warm chocolate dripped on my body, and even the heated floor tiles in a fancy hotel bathroom.
- Wind – I love the feeling of a cool breeze on my vagina, blowing up my skirt when I’m not wearing any panties.
- Cold – This one comes with a condition: I only enjoy the feeling of cold if I am already hot. In the heat of Burning Man, for example, the feeling of an ice cube or cold water on my skin can be absolutely orgasmic in itself.
- Skin – The feeling of a lover’s skin against mine is one of the reasons I love the missionary position so much. It’s the best position for pressing every possible inch of myself against him or her. I love the feeling of extra smooth skin against mine, or the softness of a woman’s breasts pressed against mine.
- Soft cotton – Laying naked on the softest of comforters or blankets is a heavenly feeling.
- Tickling – A light tickle can elicit goosebumps all over my body and become incredibly erotic.

2. What are your non-genital errogenous zones and what do you like done to them?
I love being caressed along my inner thighs or stomach. These areas are close enough to my vagina to be a complete tease, while being sensitive enough themselves to give me goosebumps.

3. What sounds get you sexually charged?
There are certain songs that always get a rise out of me, including the song Closer by Nine Inch Nails, and the slow sexy vibes of Goldfrapp’s Crystalline Green.

4. After losing your virginity, what is the longest you’ve gone without penetrative sex?
Having lost my virginity at a very young age, I think it was at least two years before I ever did it again. Since then, however, I think it’s been pretty regular. I’d say the longest I’ve gone since high school is probably 3 or 4 months, during the times my Navy boyfriend was out to sea when I was in my early twenties.

5. What is your least favorite sexual position? Why don’t you like it?
My least favorite sexual position is doggie style. In this position I don’t get to look at the facial expressions of my partner, nor can I kiss them. I don’t get to feel our bodies pressed up against each other, and there is no natural stimulation to my clit. And, occasionally, it can allow a little too much penetration at an odd angle and give me some pain. That being said, I still do this position a decent amount. Many of my lovers adore this position, and I have my little tricks to make it more pleasurable for myself.

There you have it. Anyone care to submit their own answers?

Overexposed: OnMyList

OnMyList.com

In the past several months I’ve been very active on a fun new site called OnMyList.com, and they were nice enough to send me a free t-shirt for my participation. On my recent trip to San Francisco I got to hang out with Noah and Kelly of OnMyList and they were awesome! I highly recommend checking out this site, and don’t be surprised when you get totally addicted to making lists of everything from what’s in your desk drawer to your favorite sock colors.

Love it, and Hate it
If there’s one thing I hate about this blog, it’s that I love it so much. I can’t tell you how many times I use the phrase “for the blog” in my daily life. “I want to get that toy for the blog.” “This will be a great story for the blog.” “I should stay home tonight because I have to do some writing for the blog.” Okay, maybe I don’t say that last one very often, but I’m always thinking it. I love writing, and it was through this blog that I rekindled my passion for writing. When you read my writing and comment on it, it gives my words life. But when I can’t make the time to do that writing, there is nothing to give life to.

Priorities
When you’re playing the part of a struggling programmer by day and a fun-loving sex kitten socialite by night, there’s barely any room for anything else. The dishes pile up on the counter, the dog gets lonely, and the pages of that little notebook remain empty. It becomes clear that something isn’t working. So I decided to take a look at my life and decide where my priorities lay. What was important to me? I made a list: My family (including, among others, Lucky and my two furry creatures), my writing, my health, my friends, my lovers, my home. As the list went on, there was one glaring omission that couldn’t be ignored: My job. But everyone needs a job to survive, right? Well, maybe not…

My Lucky Bastard to the rescue
We discussed it time and again. At first, in a whimsical “wouldn’t it be cool if…” way. But soon it sounded more and more feasible. Could we make it on only Lucky’s income? It would be a huge adjustment. We’d have to make a lot of cutbacks. But, if I could only try it, it might all be worth it. I got stars in my eyes, imagining that first check after selling a story to a magazine. And I’m sure Lucky could practically taste my excitement when I talked about the feeling I’d get at seeing my name on the cover of that first book jacket. The more I imagined a future filled with writing, the harder it became to focus on my day job.

And then we got married
Getting married to Lucky was the happiest day of my life. I’d never before felt so confident that I’d made the right choice, and never before had my future looked so bright. I’d found the man of my dreams, and it just seemed appropriate to start making the rest of my dreams come true. I discussed it with Lucky, more seriously this time, and we made our decision. I was going to follow my dream, and Lucky would play the part of the supportive husband at my side. I put in my two week notice at work and knew immediately that this was the right decision.

Exodus
Yesterday was my last day at work. I spent the day giving hugs and saying goodbye to all the wonderful people I’ve met over the years, promising to keep in touch. As I typed this post it marked the last time I’d sit at that keyboard in that drab gray cubicle and pretend to work. From here on out, my office will be local libraries and coffee shops with free wi fi. I won’t be toiling away on web site bugs, unless, of course, it’s for this site. Instead of going to meetings about things I don’t care about, I’ll be dreamily scribbling in my notebook about that hot girl that I met for drinks the other night. So I hope you’re prepared for this blog to get pretty fucking active, because I’ve got a lot of stories to tell, and I finally have the time to tell them.
