Toy Review: Wahl 7 in 1 Vibrator

It’s no secret that many of the best loved sex toys were not originally designed for sex at all. Or at least, their manufacturers would like us to believe that. I don’t know about you, but I have a hard time believing that Hitachi attributes the popularity of their Magic Wand to sore backs and shoulders. Wahl, on the other hand, may have an easier time convincing the public that its personal massager is meant to work out those aches and pains, with its 7 attachments for different styles of massaging. But that doesn’t stop sex shops like Babeland from stocking these powerful devices, and it doesn’t stop horny girls like me from putting them down in places that aren’t mentioned in the manufacturer’s instructions. Boy am I glad I did.

What intrigued me most about the Wahl 7 in 1 was, of course, its 7 attachments; I couldn’t wait to see how the different textures felt on my sensitive girl bits. But before I get into the details of the attachments, let me tell you a bit about the device’s other features. First, this is not a wimpy battery-powered toy. Oh no. Like the beloved Hitachi, the Wahl is a high-powered apparatus that plugs into the wall (with a very nice, long cord, I might add). Despite its power, the Wahl is surprisingly quiet. And unlike some high-powered toys, the Wahl on the low setting had vibrations that were small, gentle, and tight while still very powerful and intense. Switch it to high and the vibrations are a bit rougher, but still very nice. The handle is shaped for a firm grip, and I found it easy to get to those hard-to-reach areas.

But enough about all that boring stuff. You want to know about the attachments, right? Well here ya go:

- The first attachment I tried was shaped like a little nub. The instructions said it was for direct stimulation, and they were right. This rounded little bulb gets right where you need it. I could only hold it against my clit for a moment before I had to pull it away, for fear that I’d blow my load before I got to try out the other 6 attachments.

- Next, I tried an attachment that had rounded spikes all over it. It reminded me of a shower head, and the instruction booklet claimed it was for massaging your scalp. I’ll admit, I did put it on my head for about 3 seconds before I lowered it to more interesting places. The prickly sensation of vibrating spikes over my clit was really fun. I can imagine that if I were blindfolded and my lover brought this out I would get all goose bumpy and giggly. I doubt it could make me come, but the sensations provided by this attachment were a lot of fun.

- The attachment made for deep tissue massage is shaped a little bit like a bullseye, with two concentric rings around a little nub in the middle. I found this attachment boring. Frustrating, even, because I just wanted to press that little rounded tip in the middle into my clit but those pesky circles were getting in the way.

- The next attachment, shaped like a suction cup, was labeled in the manual as a facial revitalizer. Well, I don’t know about my face, but when I placed it over my clit it sure popped to life. The way the attachment was raised in the middle, like a suction cup, teased the area around my clit and made my little guy just stand up and beg for attention. Like the scalp massager, this attachment would be great for some teasing and sensation play.

- Like the suction cup/facial revitalizer, the cone-shaped general massage attachment rests around the clit and stimulates the areas around it while making you wish for something a little more direct. It won’t make you come, but it will sure make you hot.

- The last two attachments I tried left me a little cold. One was shaped like a triangle, the other like a set of ridges. They didn’t feel bad, but they didn’t add anything to the range of sensations I’d already been playing with, and I popped them off the device within a few seconds so that I could move on to the next one.

After testing out all of the attachments, I decided to return to my favorite: the nub-shaped direct spot stimulator. This combination of the smooth, rounded tip of this attachment with the Wahl’s powerful, tight vibrations was enough to push me right to the edge…and keep me there. The feeling was so pleasurable and so intense that I thought I might not be able to come. I popped it up to high once or twice and found that it was too intense, so I spent most of my time on the low setting, moaning and groaning. And then, finally, I came. I came hard. Oh god, did I come. After it was over, I was panting and giggling. I was shivering with delight. I was spent.
